Data Sources
With the exception of unemployment statistics, all estimates presented on this site are provided by the U.S. Census Bureau as measured by the annual American Community Survey (ACS). Unemployment measures come from the Local Area Unemployment data as provided by U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
American Community Survey (ACS)
All charts reflect estimates from ACS one-year summary tables. See tables CP03 - Selected Economic Characteristics and CP04 - Selected Housing Characteristics on American Fact Finder for full details. For more information about sample size and data quality, see the ACS Methodology page.
Local Area Unemployment (LAU)
Unemployment data represents smoothed, seasonally-adjusted metropolitan area estimates as provided by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. Please see Frequently Asked Questions for more details.
